For many Midwesterners, fall is the reason for living in this part of the country during the other 3 seasons. Nothing beats a sunny blue sky on a cool fall day when the trees are fiery reds and oranges, golden yellows and deep purples. The changing leaves give every favorite spot, a warm new look and feel this time of year. Here are some ideas to get the most out of the fabulous month of October...
-
Enjoy the great outdoors! Take a leisurely hike with your furry friends at beautiful Prairie Moraine Park or sign up to join the Mammoth Hike Challenge in October and explore 43 miles of the Ice Age Trail.
-
Grab some seasonal goodies! Head out to a local orchard for some apples, pumpkins, cider and great family photos. Epelgaarden, Sutter's Ridge, Enchanted Valley Acres, Munchkey and Eugsters are just a few favorite area places to spend a fall afternoon.
